Instructor Terms & Conditions

By registering an account or claiming a club profile on LocalKarate, you agree to be bound by the following terms.

1. Authority to Register

  • You warrant that you are the legal owner, head instructor, or an expressly authorised representative of the martial arts club being registered.
  • You agree to provide a valid Business Number (ABN/ACN) upon request to verify business legitimacy.
  • We reserve the right to revoke access if authority cannot be verified.

2. Accuracy of Information

You are responsible for maintaining the accuracy of your club’s profile. This includes:

  • Ensuring contact details and addresses are current.
  • Only listing physical locations where classes actually take place (no "ghost" locations).
  • Avoiding misleading health claims regarding martial arts training.

3. Content & Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of photos and logos you upload. However, by uploading content, you grant Websites Victoria a non-exclusive license to display it on our Service and in marketing materials.

4. Professional Conduct & Safety

By claiming a profile, you certify the following:

"I maintain valid Public Liability Insurance and all staff hold current background checks (WWCC or equivalent) as required by local law."

5. User Reviews

You acknowledge that the Service allows public reviews. You may not post fake reviews for your own club or disparage competitors. Harassment of reviewers will result in immediate account termination.

6. Student Enquiries & Data Protection

When you receive student details via the Dojo Assistant or enquiry forms, you agree to the following data handling standards:

  • Specific Use: You are not authorised to use student information for any purpose other than addressing their specific martial arts enquiry.
  • No External Marketing: You agree that student data will not be sold or shared with third-party marketers or used for unrelated promotional lists.
  • Professional Follow-up: Enquiries should be handled in a professional manner consistent with the LocalKarate brand.

7. Limitation of Liability

LocalKarate.com.au is a directory service. We are not a party to agreements made between you and students, and we are not liable for injuries or financial losses occurring at your place of business.
